Meet Josh Irish
Josh Irish is the founder of Roadrunner FD and a dedicated firefighter with over 15 years of experience serving the Roswell community he proudly calls home. Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, Josh has built his life around service, leadership, and giving back to the people around him.
Throughout his career, Josh has found the most rewarding part of being a firefighter is making a real difference in people’s lives—especially in the moments that matter most. In October 2024, during the historic Roswell floods, Josh played a critical role in rescuing members of his community from rising waters. For his bravery and actions that night, he was awarded the Medal of Valor, one of the highest honors in the fire service. He has also been recognized as EMT of the Year, reflecting his commitment to excellence both on and off the scene.
Josh is a husband and father of two young children, who became the inspiration behind Roadrunner FD. After seeing firsthand the excitement and joy that fire trucks bring to kids, he set out to create something truly unique—an experience that combines fun, education, and unforgettable memories for families.
When he’s not serving the community or running events, Josh enjoys spending time with his family, working on vehicles, and off-roading. One of his favorite places to visit is Moab, Utah, where he can explore the outdoors and take on new adventures.
Through Roadrunner FD, Josh is proud to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to families across Roswell and the surrounding areas—combining his passion for service with his mission to create lasting smiles for kids and unforgettable moments for the community.
